 We have added child safe electric log fireplaces to cabins #2 and #4!
Independence Pass (Hwy. 82) to Aspen, Aspen, Snowmass and Glenwood Springs is closed for the season, but still has not opened due to this winter's record snowfall. As of today, June 5th, the Pass remains closed. 2008 brings many exciting and fun events to Leadville, Twin Lakes and the surrounding areas. The snow is melting...finally!! [Remember that the Dutch Henri Sledding and Tubing Hill is a challenging plunge down the awesome 150-foot Dutch Henri Hill. There is also a new kiddie hill next to the original hill; and, it is FREE! For more information, you can call the Leadville Recreation Office at 719-486-4142.] [Also, the Mineral Belt is open for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The Mineral Belt is groomed and is an 11.6 mile all-season non-motorized ADA accessible route with numerous trailheads and access points. Visit the website: www.mineralbelttrail.com ] Note that the former Nordic Inn is now the Inn of the Black Wolf in Twin Lakes and is open for DINNER on Thurs. thru Sun. nights and the menu and food is fabulous!
